Shot chart

Every shot attempt, computed from the league's play-by-play coordinates. Avalanche attack left, Wild attack right, all periods folded onto one rink. Attempts are plotted where the league recorded them, so the 4 marks in a team's own end are attempts logged from there: empty-net shots, long dumps on the net; 2 empty-net goals are drawn as diamonds. Boxscore shots on goal: COL 34, MIN 21.

COL in red MIN in blue goal empty-net goal shot on goal missed blocked Avalanche 34 shots on goal (5 goals, 20 missed, 23 blocked) attacking left; Wild 21 shots on goal (2 goals, 16 missed, 13 blocked) attacking right.

Attempt share by period

Avalanche took 60.6% of the shot attempts, and 64.0% of the 100 attempts taken at 5-on-5. An attempt is a goal, a shot on goal, a miss or a blocked shot; CF% is the share of them belonging to the Wild and FF% their share of the ones that were not blocked, so the Avalanche hold the remainder. All situations unless the 5-on-5 figure is named. All 32 teams
